In a sitting position, the player should put the skate on and kick the heel back at an angle. Then lace up the 1st 3 sets of eyelets at the toe and kick the heel back again. Then lace up the next 3 sets of eyelets. Continue like this until skate is fully laced.

Upon standing, perfect adult fitting should have the toes just barely feathering the front of the toe cap. Junior sizing should be a little more generous to provide some room to grow. A 1/3" represents a half size and usually provides approx. 6 months of growth.

Mission Skates generally fit 1.5 sizes down from your shoe size. For example, if wearing a US 8.0 shoe, you would generally wear a 6.5 Mission skate.

Nike Bauer Skates generally fit 1.5 sizes down from your shoe size. For example, if wearing a US 8.0, you would generally wear a size 6.5 Nike Bauer skate.

Tour Skates generally fit 1 full size down from your shoe size. For example, if wearing a US 8.0, you would generally wear a size 7.0 Tour skate.

CCM & Reebok Skates generally fit 1.5 sizes down from your shoe size. For example, if wearing a US 8.0, you would generally wear a 6.5 CCM or Reebok skate.

Note: Sizing is a preference and therefore the above general guidelines do not guarantee fit. Do not heat, bake, sharpen or skate until you are sure you will not need to return or exchange.
